Corinne hörte Gregs Worte, blieb aber gelassen. Stattdessen lächelte sie und antwortete: „Ich wollte einen Freund suchen. Tut mir leid, Oma. Ich wusste nicht, dass du und Opa heute nach Hause kommt. Ich wäre zu Hause geblieben und hätte auf euch gewartet.“

Pamela schüttelte den Kopf. „Schon gut, Corinne. Es war eine Last-Minute-Entscheidung, also war es unser Fehler, dich nicht früher informiert zu haben. Selbst Jeremy weiß nicht, dass wir hier sind. Du bist bestimmt müde von deinem kleinen Ausflug. Warum gehst du nicht hoch und ruhst dich gut aus? Ich koche etwas für dich und Jeremy, sobald er zurück ist.“

Corinne nickte. „Na gut. Danke, Oma.“
