Toen Elise terugkwam in het klaslokaal, was tweederde van haar klasgenoten verdwenen. Ze liep terug naar haar plaats en ging zitten, waarna ze wat briefpapier tevoorschijn haalde om haar toespraak te schrijven.

Na een tijdje ging haar telefoon, die ze in haar zak had. "Elise, kom even naar buiten en eet wat. Ik wacht op je bij de oostelijke ingang."
